Oppo Reno 12 Series to Launch in India on July 12th

The Oppo Reno Reno 12 series is set to be introduced to the Indian market, with the launch date slated for July 12th. The series will feature two models, namely the Oppo Reno 12 and the Oppo Reno 12 Pro. As these smartphones have already been released in other countries, their specifications are well-known.

Given their global launch, there already is information about the specs of both models. The Oppo Reno 12 series promises to bring advanced features and enhancements to Indian consumers, continuing the trend set by previous Reno models.

Oppo Reno 12 Series Similarities

Both smartphones feature a spacious 6.7-inch FHD+ display, equipped with a 120Hz refresh rate and constructed using a flexible AMOLED panel. Oppo refers to this display technology as “Quad-Micro Curved Infinite View,” highlighting its sleek bezels and modern design.

This advanced display design results in an impressive 93.5% screen-to-body ratio, providing users with an immersive viewing experience. The slim bezels further enhance the visual appeal, making the screen appear more expansive and seamless.

The Oppo Reno Reno 12 series is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset. This robust hardware is enhanced by Oppo’s range of AI features, such as AI Clear Face, AI Writer, AI Recording Summary, and AI Eraser 2.0.

Both models come with an IP65 rating, ensuring protection against dust and water. Also, they are both equipped with a 5000mAh battery and support 80W SUPERVOOC wired charging, ensuring a rapid full charge from 0% in just 46 minutes.

Contrasts

The Reno 12 Pro offers color options like Sunset Gold and Space Brown, featuring a distinctive two-toned back design. The upper section incorporates Oppo Glow technology to resist smudges, while the lower part showcases a glossy finish with the Oppo logo. The vanilla model is available in Sunset Peach, Matte Brown, and Astro Silver.

In terms of durability, the smartphone claims to use All-Round Armour protection technology to enhance resistance against drops and impacts. The smartphone also feature a chassis crafted from a high-strength alloy, ensuring a solid structure.

The Oppo Reno 12 Pro stands out in its camera capabilities, featuring a triple-camera system. This setup includes a 50MP Sony LYT-600 main sensor equipped with optical image stabilization (OIS), ensuring sharp and stable images.

It also incorporates a 50MP telephoto camera using the Samsung JN5 sensor for 2x zoom capabilities, along with an 8MP Sony IMX 355 ultra-wide-angle lens for expansive shots. In contrast, the standard Oppo Reno Reno 12 swaps out the telephoto lens for a 2MP macro lens, while retaining the impressive 50MP primary sensor and the versatile 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens.

Both models cater to selfie enthusiasts, with the Pro version boasting a 50MP front camera and the standard model equipped with a 32MP sensor for capturing detailed self-portraits.
