1.) Central European Exchange Program for University Studies (CEEPUS)

If you are into education, then this scholarship is just for you. This scholarship operates with an exchange system. It was created to sponsor teachers or students to spend some time abroad.

It offers scholarships to different categories like short term, long term, teacher mobility, etc. It covers 15 countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Macedonia, Moldavia, Montenegro, Poland, Prishtina/Kosovo, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, the Czech Republic, and Hungary.

2.) FAO-Hungarian Government Scholarship Program for Developing Countries

Under the United Nations, the Department of Food and Agricultural Organisation (FAO) has a specialized sponsorship program to encourage those passionate about food safety to advance themselves.

This is a postgraduate program for a Masters’s degree. The Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Budapest, is the campus where it will be offered with specifically a degree in Food Safety and Quality Engineering.

3.) The Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Programme

The Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship is perhaps the most prestigious in Hungary and the most famous. It is a full scholarship initiated by the Hungarian Government to promote a close relationship between international students and their state.

It also aims to advance the height of the Hungarian academic power while carving long-lasting relationships with other countries academically and professionally using academics.

This scholarship covers both undergraduate and postgraduate courses, with over 600 courses conducted in English. It does not need IELTS either.

According to their official stats, there are currently 11,000 Stipendium Hungaricum students studying in Hungary.

The scholarship covers all tuition, gives monthly stipends of 140 Us dollars, discounts accommodation fees, and Health insurance of 210 dollars.

4.) Central European University Scholarship (CEU)

Like the Stipendium Hungaricum, this top University’s scholarship is open to all countries for undergraduate and postgraduate courses. They have over 50 courses too.

Some of their programs run with up to 1000 EUR monthly (1140 Us dollars). Students from English-speaking countries are exempted from providing IELTS.

5.) The Erasmus Mundus Scholarship

If you dream of studying in any part of Europe, this scholarship covers you. Hungary is not left behind since it is European. Courses of different fields are allowed; graduate degrees, postgraduate and doctorate programs too.

It provides free tuition 1100-1200 monthly stipend. These are the courses open for application: Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Economics, Law.

6.) The Hungarian Diaspora Scholarships

Created to inspire and help those who live in Hungarian Diaspora to attend an institution in Hungary. According to their official stats, there are currently 40,000 students studying in Hungary.

The scholarship programme aims to provide safe and culturally strengthened degree holders of all levels while building the host state’s strength and relationship that will propel the image of Hungry in all corners.

7.) EEA GRANT (European Economic Area)

This has a system similar in operation to the CEEPUS exchange system. The hitch to this is that students cannot apply individually but must go through their current institutions to qualify for the grant. Since this is European grant, it is targeted especially at European states.
