FirstRand Youth Development Graduate Program 2022

The FirstRand Youth Development Graduate Program a 12-month contract for unemployed graduates to join our FirstJob work experience programme. The focus of this programme is to improve employability of successful candidates. Throughout the programme, the incumbent will have an opportunity to build workplace confidence and competence by contributing to business objectives and deliverables. The incumbent will be required to successfully complete prescribed development programme.

Eligibility

  1. Must be between the ages of 18 – 34
  2. Obtained a relevant post matric qualification
  3. Must have been unemployed for at least the last 6 months
  4. Must have no or limited work experience – i.e. a total of less than twelve months’ work experience and/or of a part-time, casual nature.
  5. This must be the youth’s FIRST job experience
  6. The youth must also not have previously participated in the FirstJob programme at any of the FirstRand franchises, and not worked for FirstRand before.

Other Requirements

  1. A recognized Diploma
  2. A recognized Bachelor’s degree is advantageous
  3. These will be matched against the requirements of Business Units across FirstRand
  4. No formal (corporate) work experience Skills required include:

Responsibilities

  • • Demonstrate excellence and quality orientation in all assigned tasks, deliverables and projects.
  • • Execute role responsibilities efficiently through careful and timeous planning, reporting and updating.
  • • Contribute to projects through proactive, innovative and appropriate inputs.
  • • Participate in knowledge sharing with peers and stakeholders.
  • • Manage own development plan to increase competencies and skills through various channels.
  • • Attend and meet all the requirements of the FirstJob Development Programme with relevant training institution(s).
  • • Adheres to and advocates FirstRand shared values and business philosophy
