DStv multichoice Nigeria announced this on the 21st of September 2016. To be able to suspend your DSTV active subscription, you will need to give at least a 48-hour prior notice that you want to suspend your account for a fixed period of seven to 14 days at a time and for a maximum of twice yearly.
This has also been incorporated into eazy.dstv.com FAQ with the question tag “Can I suspend my account temporarily”

- You will need a scanned copy of your ID card
- The duration of suspension is between 7 to 14 days at any given period
- Also, you must have a maximum of 7 days credit in your account. What this implies I that you can suspend from day 1 till day 23. You cannot suspend an account that has 6 days to the due date.
- Unfortunately, you can only perform this operation twice yearly.
- Where to send the suspension request: To request for a “temporal service suspension of your DStv active account” you can either call their “Call center on the toll-free lines 09090630333 for 9Mobile, 07080630333 for Airtel, 08113630333 for Glo and 08149860333 for MTN between the operating hours of 8am to 9pm on Saturdays, Sunday and public holidays.
- Alternatively, you can send a request “suspension@ng.multichoice.com” or visit any of their branches.
