Recently i met a friend who just got a new laptop and unfortunately it was pre-installed/came with windows 8 operating system (OS), his former laptop was running windows 7 operating system (OS), although he could do few things with his new operating system being windows 8 but he didnt know how to shut down his laptop rather he removes the battery or press and hold the power button.
So haven seen this i thought of writing a post on how to shut down windows 8 and 8.1 operating system (OS).
How To Shut Down Windows 8 and 8.1:
Step 1: First roll over your mouse to the upper right corner of your windows screen and an invisible slide-up bar will show up. If it doesn’t happen then you can also use the shortcut key to perform it which is Windows+CStep 2: On that Slide-Up bar there will be a lot of options. Click on that last button which is ‘Settings’ and looks a metallic nut shape.
Step 3: Click on the Power button and select your desired operation: Sleep, Shutdown, Auto Update and Restart.
You can also press alt + f4 key and select shut down on your system desktop.
