These Samsung Phones Are Getting Marshmallow Update

Android Marshmallow has been out for a while but it appears Samsung is trying to make its customers wait a little bit longer than expected. While flagships from companies like HTC, Xiaomi, Sony and many others are already running Android Marshmallow, a lot of Samsung devices may be stuck on Android Lollipop till around April.

A leaked roadmap has revealed the Samsung phones eligible for Android Marshmallow update and most of them have been pushed till around March/April. Although a previously leaked documents suggested earlier dates, this allegedly leaked roadmap claims most of the updates have been pushed till after the Samsung Galaxy S7 launch.

This document was first published by Mobipicker who claimed the document was leaked by an unnamed source though email. As seen above, the latest Samsung devices are the first in line. Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ and Samsung Galaxy Note 5 are getting the update in February. Older devices like the Galaxy S5 and the Note 4 will be updated by March or April.

As with other leaked documents and rumors, this shouldn’t be totally believed. However, the Marshmallow update is long overdue for these devices.
