Umi Zero 2: A Deca-core Phone With 4GB RAM Priced Under $300
It has gotten to a point where OEMs try as much as possible to wow consumers with crazy specifications and the introduction of a deca-core smartphone in the past sounded like a rather crazy idea. A Zopo smartphone with a deca-core processor is in the works according to TechRez but details about another deca-core smartphone by another Chinese firm has emerged.UMi may not have the same hold companies like Xiaomi and Huawei have in the Chinese market and Asia as a whole but there’s no doubt the firm is trying to carve its name in the hearts of consumers by producing quality devices at very affordable prices.
The new device the company is working on has high-end specifications but the mid-range price tag it carries makes it even more remarkable. UMi Zero 2 is a deca-core device; this means the processor has 10 cores. It’s powered by a 4GB RAM and the phone has a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED screen by Samsung. With a resolution of 1440 x 2560, the display density goes as high as 565ppi.
According to the information on PhoneArena, this new device with a Helio X20 chipset by MediaTek will come equipped with a dual camera setup at the back like the one on Huawei Honor 6 Plus. This lets you re-focus an image after it’s already taken.
Umi Zero 2 will be released by Q2 2016 at only $299. For a deca-core processor smartphone with all these specifications, it’s almost too good to be true.
Not to forget, Elephone was initially rumored to be releasing a deca-core P9000 around June but the company later refuted the claim and released Elephone P9000 with an octa-core processor instead.
