HTC One X9 Unveiled With MediaTek Helio X10 Processor
After several weeks of leaks and rumors, HTC has officially announced its latest device, HTC One X9. HTC One A9 was released only months ago but the backlash the company received for using the iPhone 6 design might have affected sales. For a company that reported nothing but loss in the third quarter of the year, the bad publicity received must have been a major setback. There’s a possibility the new device might turn things around for the Taiwanese company as it appears HTC One X9 is aimed at the huge Chinese market to start with. We don’t know yet if it will be launched globally but the probability is very high.
HTC One X9 has the best Mediatek octa-processor in the market right now, Helio X10. It’s a 5.5-inch device with a 1080p resolution. Although the device looks like a mid-ranger considering the price, the specifications can make it pass for a flagship device. HTC One X9 has a 3GB RAM plus an internal storage of 32GB which is expandable to 128GB through a microSD slot.
HTC One X9 has a 13MP primary camera with f/2.0 aperture. It comes with Optical Image Stabilization and the camera can shoot RAW photos and 4K videos. There’s also a 5MP camera with f/2.8 aperture right up in the front.
The device comes with a 3,000mAh capacity battery and as with most devices in the market right now, it supports fast-charging.
While the phone is currently priced at about $370 in China, it’s still unclear when it’s going to be globally available or what the price is going to be.
